Sponsored this year by Brigg based Thomas Bell Country Store, competitors travelled to the Normanby Park venue from all over the region, hoping to win the great prizes donated by the store.

Competitors really enjoyed the cross country course which crossed over the Normanby Estate parkland, incorporating a challenging water complex and tricky combinations.

In the 12 years and under section first place was awarded to Jessica Varley from the Burghley Pony Club who finished on a score of 36.76.

Runner up prize went to Sara Kirwin and third prize was awarded to Hannah Barth from Epworth, riding Oliver.

This lucky combination was not only awarded a prize from sponsors Thomas Bell but Hannah also received the Rascal Shield for the highest place Scunthorpe and District Pony Club member under 10-years-old.

The Pre Novice proved a popular class with both first place Steph Wells, and second place Lin Brocklesby , finishing on their dressage.

Third Prize went to Ghislaine Fowler on Charlie who performed a classy Cross Country round and went foot perfect in the show jumping. The Pair received the Judy Bingham Shield for the highest place Scunthorpe member.

Holly Woodhead took first place in the Novice class and finished on her dressage score of 32.41. Karen Lamb and Bertie Bubble were runner up and received the Mick Waring memorial trophy for the highest placed Scunthorpe member.

The Prince Romonof Cup was also awarded in this section to Charlotte Sutton for the best dressage score of an impressive 27.59, however they did not have as much luck in the show jumping.

Anna Fraser and Axel fought off the competition to win the class on her dressage score of 25.71 closely followed by Sian Williams and Jasmine who took the runner place and third prize was awarded to Rosie Newsam and Jester.
